Data is everywhere. But understanding what actually matters is still surprisingly hard.

That’s why we built a brand new Metrics dashboard inside Commerce Layer — a single place where commerce teams can monitor performance, explore trends, and take action without jumping across tools.

Everything is designed to be immediate and intuitive. No technical setup, no complex configuration — just the answers you need, when you need them.

And because your business doesn’t wait, all metrics are updated in real time — so you’re always working with the most current view of your performance.

A dashboard that adapts to you

At the top of each section, you’ll find four core metrics — tailored to the context you’re exploring.

In Orders, for example, this includes sales, total orders, average order value, and average order size. These aren’t just KPIs — they’re the lens through which you can explore everything else.

Every widget in the dashboard can be dynamically filtered based on the selected metric, so you can instantly switch perspective depending on what you care about. And here’s the best part: your selection is remembered. Over time, the dashboard adapts to you — becoming a personalized workspace aligned with how you run your business.

Go from insight to action in one click

Numbers are useful. But what really matters is what you can do with them.

Every element in the dashboard — whether it’s a market, a product, a promotion, or a coupon — is fully interactive. Just click on any row to drill down into the exact orders behind that metric, understand what’s driving performance, and export the data if you need to go deeper.

Whether you’re analyzing the impact of a coupon, reviewing returns for a specific product, or exploring your top customers, everything is just one click away. No manual filtering, no complex workflows — just a faster path from insight to action.

Flexible comparison, built for real decisions

Understanding trends means understanding context.

With the new dashboard, you can select any time range — including custom periods — and instantly compare it with a previous range, last year, or another custom timeframe. This makes it easy to answer questions like:

  • Are we growing week over week?
  • Did that campaign outperform the previous one?
  • Is AOV improving over time?

Even across multiple markets and currencies, comparisons stay consistent, with values automatically normalized into a default currency when needed.

Powerful filtering, without complexity

Ecommerce data can get messy fast. Filtering it shouldn’t be.

With the new dashboard, you can refine every view using dimensions like currency, market, country, tags, and even payment and shipping methods — so you can focus on exactly what matters.

And when you need something more flexible, there’s the global search. A single search bar that lets you explore anything inside your orders — from product names and SKUs to customer emails, discounts, and more. Just type and explore, or combine it with filters to get even more precise results.

Four powerful sections to start with

We’re launching the Metrics dashboard with four key areas, each focused on a different part of your business.

  • Orders
Gives you a complete view of your performance — from sales trends and order volume to markets, products, customers, and payment and shipping methods. It’s where you understand what’s actually driving your business.
  • Promotions
Here you can finally see what works. Track campaigns and coupons, measure their impact over time, and connect them directly to your revenue.
  • Returns
Turns a cost center into insight. Analyze return rates, identify patterns, and understand which products, markets, or customers are driving them.
  • Carts
Here you can focus on buying intent — monitoring conversion rate, cart volume, and average cart value to spot drop-offs and improve your funnel.

And we’re just getting started. We’re already working on new areas, including Customers insights, Fulfillment analytics, and a Metrics Agent to provide faster access to insights.
