The Subscription App is intended to be lightweight and designed to give organizations quick and easy controls over all the subscriptions associated with recurring orders across their organizations. Let's dive in to learn a more about this new app.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch4>Getting started with Subscriptions\u003C\u002Fh4>\n\n\u003Cp>If you launch the Subscriptions App from the dashboard, you’ll see a list of all the subscriptions in your organization. If you haven’t created any new subscriptions, the app will alert you that you don’t have any subscriptions yet, and that you can add a subscription with the \u003Ca target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fdocs.commercelayer.io\u002Fcore\u002Fapi-reference\u002Forder_subscriptions\">API\u003C\u002Fa>, or use the CLI. Note, if you have not set up a subscription model in the Settings section of your organization, you will also need to define that. Subscriptions models can have two strategies that define how order subscriptions are created:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Col>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>By frequency:\u003C\u002Fstrong> Set up recurring billing cycles based on time intervals.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>By line-item:\u003C\u002Fstrong> Create subscriptions tied to specific product lines.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Fol>\n\n\u003Cp>You will also need to define the frequency of the model. Our API supports a range of subscription frequencies, including custom frequencies, from as frequent as hourly to as infrequent as yearly. So for example, if you set up by line-item, and an order has two different SKUs with some frequency, you end up with two order subscriptions. The set up process ensures that you can design a model that precisely matches your needs.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>After a subscriptions model has been set up, subscriptions can be created with the API and\u002For using the CLI.  Once a new subscription is created, it appears in the App and your team can start to use the core features to manage subscriptions.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Subscription management\u003C\u002Fstrong>: The app allows users to activate, deactivate, or cancel subscriptions with just a few clicks so you can quickly respond to any customer requests or changing requirements. You can also edit the frequency and\u002For next_run at.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Filtering capabilities\u003C\u002Fstrong>: Your team can also navigate through subscriptions using our search functionally or by applying filters based on Market, Status, or Frequency. You can also filter by Draft, Active, Inactive, or Cancelled subscriptions, or filter by weekly, monthly, or custom recurring intervals.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\n\u003Ch4>Ideal use cases and benefits\u003C\u002Fh4>\n\n\u003Cp>Any business that has some type of recurring order can benefit from the Subscriptions App. Here are a few areas where teams can start using the App today. \u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Col>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Recurring products:\u003C\u002Fstrong> As an online retailer with an ecommerce sales channel like your website, you could use our Subscriptions App to manage recurring product delivery or service subscriptions. For example, an organic food delivery customer service team might use the App to manage weekly vegetable box subscriptions, easily tracking and adjusting customer plans as needed. \u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Digital platforms:\u003C\u002Fstrong> Companies that offer digital goods might want to manage user subscriptions for their content and services.
